fertile downpours

 muddy...wet...fertile...arid soil after a 'soaking' downpour

that knew to 'wet' the thirsty ground to its core...

a scent inviting of land grateful

in its generous fall the rains gainful.

how nature knows to refresh and give hope

of new buds and further growth give scope,

and thus to touch, absorb and cherish

through all my senses my gratefulness embellish.
