year end frugality

Even though the word frugal is used in regard to matters monetary or economic, it appeals to me to use in all matters potentially wasteful. Be it with actions or words...anything where  energies spent could have been put to better use.
For example...our thoughts.

So here i am, occupying a space where serenity, relaxation, relief sensual are paramount to discovery of body and self through touch and suggestive dialogue. And what i have been privy to, in the last few days are bodies tense, minds far away and a disconnect between the desire in thought and the physical body present.
Why is it that we humans are wonderful at making our lives complicated, stress being an ever present companion, finding reasons why it can only be worse rather than better.
Why do we look to break down every possible positive aspect of a situation or another human being, seeking ...and at times scrupulous in our zeal to be right in our negativity even if it is not true.
What is it that drives us to extinction of anything good.
Is good boring?
Is good weak?

Is Peace dispensable....a commodity not worthy of personal investment?

And thus, one of the most common phrases i have used in the last few days...
"Relax. it is year end. Whatever has happened this year is done and cannot be changed. Holidays are here and instead of thinking what needs to be done once one is back from holidays...rather let the mind go to pasture and the body rest. Next year will come and you shall have no choice but to attack it with furore once it arrives"
Once that realisation sets in it is amazing how deep the mind can fall and give itself over to surrender.
Surrender to selfish indulgence and pleasures needed to free the mind of shackles created... be it from preconceived misconceptions as to what sensuality is about or simply personal inhibitions holding one back. A frugal decision to not be a 'spendthrift' with ones emotions.
It is a good space to be in, and be able to share and impart, nothing more, than simple words and encouragement to let go and be present in the moment.

RB.
