the pillow and duvet

When the cluttering noise of a city life ones ears does hurt
much heard preferred not to register and is simply dirt
so much does challenge my sensual sanity
how banal the existence of man what profanity.

i choose my ears with a pillow soft to cover
maybe in the hidden silence something new to discover
the minds eye the darkness does welcome gladly
the reality of the rat race so intrusive sadly.

And what a world to discover under that pillow
two lovers and their ardent passion in my mind did billow
was it a dream a desire of something imagined
my mind willing it into reality, going off at a tangent.

But then a smile on my lips did settle
no surrendering to the banalities of life this rebel
rather wishing a warm body under the covers to slide
together from the realities beyond the duvet to hide.

Should one disclose how the noise did subside
how life to the pillow and duvets rules did abide
and suffice to say two lovers did hide
and the book of kama sutra open wide.
