 lets make a noise and not be mechanical
lets beat the shit out of boredom and rather be fantastical
a pot i shall give u
and one for me too
and a wooden spoon or steal one will do.

who cares for instruments proper
our performance is gonna be a show stopper
the noise the din that we will make
at first our aural facilities will shake.

but once we get into the groove of things
it begins to sound like notes, less it stings
and in our desire to be quite silly and childlike
in the fun of the moment no need the din to dislike.

sometimes to forget to be all grown up
to let down ones guard to sip of the silly cup
that little bit of fresh air taken
invigorating a new strength in one, awaken.

so bang along with me
and let your children also see
that mommy and daddy know how to be
just like them childlike happy and free.
