unrequited lover

i sat and thought
of how today
the day
to play....

contemplation heavy in the air
the need of good company and love to share
how the thought of a hug and kiss
all concerns forgotten but rather the bliss
to share in the closeness of another
and me in his arms in gentleness gather.

oh that lover that knows me well
deep in my dreams he does dwell
a faceless stranger gorgeous he be
maybe one day him in reality to see.

for now my eyes i shall close
the idea of him on my imagination impose
and like an unrequited lover feel
maybe one day...who knows...he will be real.

....and thus 
the day
did stay in dreams...far away.
